چکیده

Medicinal plants are the source of treatment for many diseases and ailments throughout developing world. Studies on them could lead to finding novel drugs effective various diseases. We have chosen one most commonly used Cymbopogon citrates leaves present study which was screened phytochemical antibacterial properties. The activity test evaluated qualitatively through use diffusion method a solid medium direct contact using following microbial isolate: Staphylococcus aureus, E. coli. revealed that citrate extracts contained rich availability tannins, flavonoids, saponins, glycoside, alkaloids steroids as secondary metabolites. Furthermore, plant were found possessed properties wide range gram-positive gram-negative bacterial strains demonstrated best inhibition against Escherichia coli with an zone 21 mm at concentration 300 mg/ml.
